Roasted sesame oil

Our roasted sesame oil is unrefined virgin oil obtained by pressing toasted sesame seeds. It contains essential fatty acids (omega 6) and Vitamin E, lecithin and waxes which are lost in oil that is industrially processed and then refined. Its golden brown colour and rich flavour make it a popular oil in Asian and in particular Macrobiotic cuisine. It is ideal for stir frying but also as a salad oil.

All our oils are cold pressed and unrefined. This means that unlike refined oils, they keep the nutritious ingredients that are naturally found in a seed: essential fatty acids, their most valuable ingredient, vitamins and minerals.
