THE HUNGARIAN „GOLDEN FLIGHT” LANDED IN BUDAPEST AT 8.10AM
Today, on the 24th of August the “golden flight” returned from Rio, the Hungarian Delegation arrived to Liszt Ferenc International Airport of Budapest with 6 medalist athletes on board. After landing Katinka Hosszú, Emese Szász, Gabriella Szabó, Tamara Csipes, Krisztina Fazekas-Zur, András Rédli and all of the returning athletes went to the SYMA Sports and Conference Center to meet with their relatives, sport leaders and fans.
Among the 150 passengers were athletes, doctors, escorts, accompanists, representatives of the Hungarian Olympic Committee and journalists. At the runway the firefighters welcomed the delegation’s plane with a traditional doubled water-jet. The Hungarian athletes collected 8 gold- 3 silver- and 4 bronze medals through the Olympic Games of 2016 in Rio.
At the gathering in the SYMA Sports and Conference Center the medalist athletes got in the spotlight of the stage after the welcome speeches of the celebrating representatives such as Zsolt Borkai the chairman of Hungarian Olympic Committee and Zoltán Balogh Minister of Human Resources.
